Elizabeth Kabui

African Young Adult Literature, Winner, 2014

As a young girl, Elizabeth Kabui loved reading storybooks. After studying Literature at Kenyatta University, this love for reading grew into a passion for writing stories for young people. She has written books for children and young adults including The Dump Site Puzzle, Bizarre Bazaar,  and The Turning Point. Her book, The Prize won the Jomo Kenyatta Prize for Literature in the children's books category in 2009. Elizabeth has taught Children's Literature at Moi University and now teaches Creative Writing at St. Paul's University.
