Nanayaa Prempeh Amankwah was born in Kumasi, Ghana. She was educated at the Wesley Girls' High School in Cape Coast, Ghana and later at Brunel College in Bristol, UK. She moved to the United States and studied Nursing at the Medical Learning Centre in Arlington, Virginia, USA. Nanayaa started writing and compiling stories at a young age and later made it her favourite pastime. She would read some of her stories to her children's classmates during 'show and tell' - a classroom programme for elementary level school children in the United States. In addition to writing fiction, she loves to write poems, two of which can be found in this book. Nanayaa is married with four grown children. She resides in Ghana with her family.
